Schedule Equipment in Advance and Link to Events in your Calendar

With the schedules function in Labguru, you can schedule multiple instruments in parallel, in accordance with your project's timeline

Scheduling multiple instruments in parallel has now become easy. With the Labguru Schedules feature, you can conveniently locate available equipment and schedule events for multiple instruments in advance, all on a single page.

On the navigation sidebar, click on the equipment module icon, and choose "Schedules".

To create a new schedule click on "New schedule".

You can name the schedule and add a description to it.

To schedule instruments, go to "Select equipment". You can choose as many instruments as you need.

The schedule timeline presentation allows you to see the availability of all selected instruments in the same view.

To schedule an event, double-click on the timeline of the instrument of interest. Fill in the event details in the opened window and save to schedule the equipment.

In the Calendar view, you'll see the events that you (presented in purple in the attached picture) and others in your lab (presented in blue in the attached picture) have scheduled. So if an instrument is taken on one of the dates, you would see the event in the equipment's calendar.

To easily find an available time slot for an instrument, you can use the "Find next available time" wizard.

You can either search for an available time slot for the instruments selected on the schedule show page, or you can have Labguru perform a search for a time slot of a specific equipment type. Specify the required event duration (in hours or in days) and as an option, you can even define a date range for the wizard to search in.

Once all the parameters are entered, click on find and the wizard will offer available time slots for you to schedule the equipment in. Click on 'Find next' to see the next available time that fits the search criteria or click on 'Create event' to schedule the offered time slot.
