Find, update and organize your stocks from your phone or tablet, wherever the work happens.
In the lab, on the manufacturing floor or in the greenhouse, stocks are constantly being created, used, moved and aliquoted. The Labguru Mobile App lets you keep up with them on the spot: find stocks by filtering, scanning or searching, then choose what to do with them. Every action is saved to your Labguru account right away.
Open your stocks
- Sign in to the Labguru Mobile App on your phone or tablet (iOS or Android).
- On the home screen, tap Stocks.
All stocks lists every stock with its ID, name and storage path. Tap the arrow on a stock to see its details, such as its collection, owner, lot number, barcode, volume and expiry date.
Find the stocks you need
- Search by name, ID or barcode in the search bar.
- Scan a stock's barcode with the scan button next to the search bar.
- Filter by Location, Lot Number, Collection, Owner or Expiry Date. Tap a filter chip, or the filter icon to see them all.
Note: Filters in the app return only exact matches for what you enter. Searches in Labguru on the web return every result that contains your search term.
Select stocks and choose an action
Tick the checkbox next to each stock you want to work with, or use the checkbox at the top to select them all. Then choose an action from the bar at the bottom of the screen. Tap More to see every action.
Stock actions
Bookmark: build your own list
Save stocks to My list so you can come back to them quickly. Bookmark stocks from different searches or locations to collect everything you're working on in one place, then act on them together.
Move: change the storage location
Move stocks to another storage location or box. Scan the destination's barcode, or choose it from the storage locations in your account. For step-by-step instructions, see Move stocks between boxes and storage locations with the Labguru Mobile App.
Add to ELN: use stocks in an experiment
Add stocks to an experiment. Choose the project, folder and experiment, then tap Attach to Experiment. The stocks are added to the experiment in a new Samples element.
Consume: mark stocks as used up
Record that stocks have been used up. A consumed stock is no longer linked to a storage location. Its full history stays in Labguru, on the Stocks tab of the inventory item.
Duplicate: create more of the same stock
Create new stocks from an existing one. Choose where to store them and how many copies to make. Each new stock gets its own stock ID and copies all required fields from the original.
Mine: take ownership of stocks
Make yourself the owner of the selected stocks, and optionally mark them as private. Marking as private isn't available for stocks in a box.
Tip: To limit a stock to a specific team, move it into a box that only that team or selected members can edit. Only those people will be able to change the stock.
Print label: print labels on demand
Print labels for the selected stocks on a Brady portable printer. See Printing labels using Brady with Labguru Mobile App.
Note: Label printing requires the label wizard add-on for your Labguru account. For more information, contact our support team.
